Video: Wis. firefighter-paramedics help young patient long after call
How "Little Doug," a friend of Green Bay Metro crewmembers, survived another serious medical issue

GREEN BAY, Wis. — Several firefighter-paramedics with the Green Bay Metro Fire Department have known “Little Doug” all his life. They have also saved his life more than once.
At first, he was a newborn struggling to breathe.
Years later, the young friend they had kept in touch with had a grim diagnosis about his heart. The first responders were raising funds for one of Doug's life goals – his own bank account – when a doctor in Houston said he could treat the child's heart problem.
The young patient pulled through again.
Check out the CNN video that aired Friday for details and to see the first responders tell the story.
