Chris Tindall, 42, suffered from chest pains after an emergency incident; he went to the hospital, was discharged and later died

RAYMORE, Mo. — A battalion chief died Thursday night after suffering a medical emergency.

Firefighter Close Calls reported that Chief Chris Tindall, 42, a 19-year veteran with the South Metro Fire Department, was reportedly suffering from chest pains several hours after responding to an emergency incident.

He went to the hospital and was treated and released. Chief Tindall died following his discharge from the hospital.

Among his many roles, he was also a handler for the Mo. Search and Rescue K9.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, Jan 13 from 5-8 p.m. at John Knox Village Pavilion in Lee’s Summit, Mo. A funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, Jan 14 at 2 p.m., also at John Knox Village Pavilion in Lee’s Summit, Mo.
