HARTFORD, Conn. — Hartford police arrested a city firefighter after finding dozens of unsecured guns and thousands of rounds of ammunition in a child’s bedroom, police said.
Police arrested Lt. Michael Patterson, a 16-year-veteran of the department, on Tuesday morning after responding to a domestic dispute at his Canaan Street home.
Investigators said they found 29 unsecured guns out in the open, as well as the ammunition and most of the weapons were piled on top of a child’s bed. A 7-year-old and a teenager were inside the home when the guns were found out in the open, officials said.
