EUREKA, Mo. — Firefighters paid a special visit to a Wal-Mart greeter and helped turn his lifelong dream into reality.
Greeter Christopher Echele said he’s always wanted to be a firefighter. Eureka firefighters picked up Echele from work in a fire truck, and took him for a ride Tuesday.
“I’ve been a fan of the fire service ever since I was a kid and never really outgrew it,” Echele told FOX2. “So, to be able to meet and interact with all these guys is amazing.”
Firefighters also gifted Echele his own fire helmet. “It meant a lot to us, too,” Lt. Steve McKinney said. “It’s very important for us to have community members like him backing the Eureka Fire District.”
