RIPLEY, Tenn. — A former fire chief who faced sexual harassment accusations just months ago, is now facing a new set of allegations. Former Ripley Fire Chief Felix Moore faced a judge Wednesday on a three-count indictment accusing him of stealing the city’s money.
Many Ripley residents say they had no idea their former fire chief, Felix Moore, had even been indicted.
“I’m shocked about the whole thing because I’ve never known him to do anything dishonest,” said Walter Hayes, Jr. Moore was secretly indicted earlier this week. He faces two counts of official misconduct and one count of theft. The district attorney says Moore is accused of stealing nearly $1,000 in money donated to the city.
