PEORIA, Ariz. — Two firefighters were injured when a fire department vehicle on its way to a drowning call collided with a pickup truck Sunday evening.

AZ Central reported that the firefighters with the Peoria (Ariz.) Fire Department were clearing the intersection with lights and sirens when a black truck went around traffic that had stopped for the firefighters and struck them head-on, according to the report.
