PHOENIX, Ariz.— A firefighter who was killed while responding to a fire last month will be honored at a baseball game Friday.
MLB.com reported that the Arizona D-Backs will honor the life of Brad Harper, a fallen Phoenix firefighter who was killed in a mulch fire on May 19, before their Friday evening game against the Cincinnati Reds.
Firefighter Harper’s widow, Lena, will throw out the first pitch and will be supported by friends, family and fellow firefighters from the same academy where firefighter Harper was stationed, according to the report.
