HAWKINS COUNTY, Tenn. — A volunteer firefighter in Hawkins County is recovering after he was hurt in an accident Saturday night during a corn maze event.
Gary Murrell, Assistant Chief with the Striggersville Fire Dept. says Saturday night around 10p.m. they were operating one of their last hayrides of the night, taking people to the haunted corn maze.
A firefighter working the event jumped on the side of the wagon and fell, landing under one of the tires. Murrell says he walked away with minor injuries, and has since been released from the hospital.
