MARIETTA, Ga. — A firefighter died of a cardiac arrest while investigating an activated fire alarm Friday.
Firefighter Christ Swan, 57, with the Lockheed Martin Aeronautical Fire Department, became fatigued and was found in a cardiac arrest while investigating a fire alarm, according to the U.S. Fire Administration.
Firefighter Swan, a 28-year veteran, was transported to a local hospital where he later passed away.
Funeral arrangements are set for Friday from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. at Gregory Levett & Sons Funeral Home, 4347 Shoals Parkway, Decatur, Ga. The service is on Saturday at 3 p.m. at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 2560 Tilson Road, Decatur, Ga.
