HIGHLAND PARK, Mich. — The Mich. firefighter whose one-year compilation video of fighting fires that went viral online is now making headlines on national news.
Firefighter Scott Ziegler appeared on ABC News with Diane Sawyer to talk about his eight-minute video and why he made it.
He said that if people can take anything away from his video, it’s that people understand how firefighters nationwide are battling blazes with fewer resources.
“Maybe they can take a look at that video and think ‘Well those guys do a pretty dangerous job. It seems to be that they might need more people than less,’” Firefighter Ziegler said.
Firefighter Ziegler also took time during his national spotlight to talk about safety and the precautions families need to take to stay safe.
