ODESSA, Mo. — A Mo. firefighter died after collapsing while fighting a brush fire Saturday.
Lt. William Roger Vorwark of the Odessa, Mo., Fire and Rescue Protection District was mopping up hotspots when he collapsed from an apparent heart attack.
His crew carried him to their apparatus, immediately began CPR and used their AED, but he did not survive.
Lt. Vorwark was 49, and had five years of service. Funeral arrangement information will be posted at www.mofirefuneral.org.
