RealWheels Corporation Goes Way Beyond Wheels in 2009

Gurnee, IL – For nearly thirty years, the team at Chicago area manufacturer, RealWheels Corporation has been associated with keeping fire trucks around the globe looking great! In addition to enhanced appearance, their stainless steel wheel covers continue to be an important way for departments to eliminate countless hours of cleaning and time-consuming maintenance.

During this year’s FDIC show, the industry veteran took their business beyond wheels, and into a host of additional industry-related products. “We’ve been fortunate to have many of our partners in the fire industry ask us for assistance with various product designs.” Explains RealWheels Vice President, Jhan R. Dolphin. “Others have requested that, in addition to fire apparatus accessories, we offer some of the same personal vehicle products to the fire industry as we produce for other markets.”

So, this year the RealWheels exhibit looked quite different from past years. Their new Tire Guard & Tire Watch tire pressure monitoring systems comply with the challenging 1901 guidelines, and are already being installed on trucks across the country. The stainless trim accessories that they produce have become an extension of the graphics packages currently available on vehicles, creating the first 3D style vehicle graphics. Even a stainless steel flag-pole system was developed in order to eliminate the often unattractive methods that have been used by departments for displaying the Stars & Stripes. Their billet aluminum door handles designs are now making their way to fire trucks, and they’ll even introduce a non-slip tread pattern that is currently used throughout other segments of the transportation industry. “We’re extremely proud to be part of the fire industry.” Says RealWheels President and FAMA Board member, Jan Polka. “The quality and high standards expected in this business helped shape the way we built our original products, and continue to dictate how we look at other segments of our business.” The new series of fire-related products can now be seen at www.realfiretrucks.com.

While many companies continue to wait for economic times to improve, it is clear that just as many new opportunities exist for those willing to expand their ideas, product lines, and creativity.
