Firms probed for antitrust practices in firefighting radio sales

They’re being investigated on suspicion of violating anti-monopoly laws

TOKYO — Three Japanese firms are being invetigated by Japan’s Fair Trade Commission on suspicion of violating anti-monopoly laws in connection with sales of firefighting emergency radio systems.

Reuters.com reported that electronics conglomerate NEC, Oki Electric Industry Co Ltd and Japan Radio Co Ltd are all under investigation.

All three firms said they are cooperating with authorities.
