LAKEVILLE, Minn. — ImageTrend, Inc. announces a special study supplemental question has been added in Elite™ to be included in the National Fire Incident Reporting System’s (NFIRS) national-level special study. The study question will determine if COVID-19 impacted fire department calls by having personnel answer the question “COVID-19 was a factor in this incident.” The field is added at the system level allowing system administrators to update their NFIRS run form. The new special study supplemental question uses ID 9244 at the request of the USFA for tracking purposes. ImageTrend worked quickly to add the question to aid in the documentation for analysis and distribution of relevant information to keep firefighters safe and healthy.

The ability to import and export is also available to easily send and receive all collected data from this newly released field. This field is optional and not required by NFIRS, but participation could help establish new private research for the fire service.

ImageTrend understands the importance of being responsive to the needs of customers and remains committed to providing the most innovative and configurable tools for data collection and analysis. Complete information regarding the NFIRS national special study can be found here. For more information on adding the field, please refer to Elite University.
