VALLEJO, Calif. — A 3-year-old Vallejo boy hung on too long to a moving security fence Tuesday evening, and suffered injuries after getting stuck between it and the motor, Fire Capt. Morty Culverwell said.
The incident occurred about 7 p.m. in the 1300 block of North Camino Alto.
The boy got pinned in a four-inch gap, Culverwell said. Firefighters cut a motorized chain and used prying tools and other devices to free him.
They cut the gate into five pieces so they could release the boy, he added.
“He was hurt, but we are not sure of the extent of the injuries,” Culverwell said, adding paramedics took him to Sutter Solano Hospital.
