BOSTON — Firefighters freed a person trapped underneath a Red Line train Wednesday afternoon.
Authorities responded to the Downtown Crossing MBTA station at 2:25 p.m. for a report of a person under an outbound train, the Boston Fire Department said.
The person is being treated and transported by paramedics. It wasn’t immediately clear how the person got on the tracks, and transit police are investigating.
