Safe practices when stacking air bags
By Mark van der Feyst
Extrication air bag manufactures will recommend how many of their air bags can be stacked on top of each other. Usually the limit is two, but there are exceptions based upon the design and functionality of each air bag.
Never exceed the number of airbags that can be stacked and never put any plywood or ridged piece of material between the stacked airbags as they will become projectiles if a load shifts. The airbag also can be a projectile if there are too many bags stacked on top of each other.
