BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Buffalo Fire Department hopes a new fleet of engines will help bolster its firefighting capabilities.
Eight incoming trucks with a price tag of $425,000 each will feature new, 525-horsepower Caterpillar engines, the department said. Three of the new additions will be hook and ladder trucks.
Several of the engines have already been added to the department’s existing fleet, and the rest will arrive by the end of the month.
