COLUMBUS — A woman was taken to Grant Medical Center after her car rear-ended a Columbus Fire Division ladder truck on the East Side about 8 p.m. yesterday.

The woman was in stable condition with injuries that weren’t life-threatening, police said. They did not release her identity.

The ladder truck was on southbound Hamilton Road, waiting to go east from the turn lane onto Livingston Avenue to return to Station 23.

The car failed to stop, striking the fire truck’s bucket and incurring extensive front-end damage, Columbus fire and police officials said. The firefighters on the truck were not hurt.
