During SCBA inspections, the “O” ring should always be thoroughly checked. It’s found on the high pressure hose that connects to the cylinder. This ring plays a significant role in the operation of the SCBA.
Without it, air will leak out from the cylinder to the SCBA. The “O” ring wears out with frequent usage and will need to be replaced on a regular basis.
