When there are shared resources within a fire department, you must make sure that germs are not shared.
Decontaminating the regulator will stop the spread of germs from one firefighter to another. Every SCBA manufacturer will have a recommended procedure and product to use to accomplish this. Remember to disinfect the regulator after you have used an SCBA.
