MagForce Mechanical Siren Selected As 2008 EMS Expo Top Pick

Indianapolis, IN – Carson Sirens is proud to announce the selection of the SA-441M MagForce Mechanical siren as one of EMS Expo’s Top Picks for 2008. The SA-441M was evaluated at this year’s EMS EXPO held in Las Vegas, Nevada, October 15 – 17 and was judged to be one of the top new products on exhibit. As a result, the SA-441M will be featured in the January 2009 issue of EMS Magazine and online at www.emsresponder.com/toppick. It will also be highlighted in the March / April 2009 issue of EMS Product News. A special awards ceremony, hosted by EMS Magazine, was held on Monday, November 24 at the Fort Worth Convention Center Annex during the Texas EMS Conference.

The SA-441M MagForce Mechanical is a member of Carson’s new M-Series siren line that was released in mid-September of this year. It combines a classic Mechanical Tone and new Carson “stutter” Air Horn with the power of an independent 2 channel, 200 watt amplifier for maximum clearing output. The dual tone feature of this siren incorporates Carson’s popular selection of siren tones and new Mechanical tone into alternating sweeps, giving the perception of 2 sirens operating at the same time. This shockwave of sound penetrates even the most sound-resistant vehicles on the road today.

What sets the SA-441M apart is the authentic reproduction of both a true Mechanical tone and a “stutter” air horn sound. This combination offers an effective alternative to the costly Mechanical sirens and air horns that are traditionally installed on fire rescue apparatuses. By eliminating the need for a bulky exterior siren, as well as air tanks, compressors and tubing, these compact sirens are easy to install and space saving. The SA-441M and others from the M-Series line require much less amp draw while still delivering that distinctive “Big Engine” sound that makes drivers instinctively pull over.

Today’s Carson siren’s are built on a legacy that started in 1972 when Jerry Smith, the inventor of the original electronic siren, came to Carson to develop a new line of sirens for the emergency vehicle industry. His rugged, reliable designs laid the foundation for the SA siren line that has become a standard for which all others are measured against.

For over 35 years Carson has continued to build upon this groundwork through continuous development and innovation. The SA-441M MagForce Mechanical and the new M-Series line of sirens are a testament to Carson’s on-going pursuit to develop stronger, longer lasting, technologically superior and more effective sirens.
