DQE Offers New Hospital Command Center Training

FISHERS, INDIANA – The DQE Training Division is offering a new program to help hospitals better prepare for emergency and disaster events. The Hospital Command Center (HCC) onsite training course is an advanced level Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) training held at the client’s hospital. This offering is one of the first available advanced HICS training courses that gives participants an in-depth understanding of the role of the hospital command center during a disaster.

The HCC training combines lecture, equipment demonstration, and tabletop exercises to prepare an incident management team to function effectively in a command center. The training focuses on ensuring that the hospital’s incident management team understands how to work efficiently and effectively in an environment that operates differently from their normal management activities.

HCC training is the latest training offering from DQE, who also provides other onsite training courses including HICS for Healthcare Managers and Hospital-based Decontamination, as well as DQE-on-Demand® Online training for HICS, Hospital-based Decontamination, and Hospital Evacuation.
