RAE Systems Will Introduce Third Generation PID To EU Market in Düsseldorf, Germany

Innovative solutions for toxic gas detection and confined space entry

SAN JOSE, CA – RAE Systems Inc. (AMEX: RAE), a leading global provider of rapidly deployable sensor networks that enable customers to identify safety and security threats in real time, will exhibit the company’s leading gas detection and industrial safety monitoring solutions and introduce two next-generation, photoionization (PID) instruments to the European market at booth 6 H 38 at the A+A 2007, the largest international meeting for specialists in the field of industrial safety, occupational health, and workplace design at the Messe in Düsseldorf, Germany on September 18-21 2007.

Over 350 high-ranking experts from the fields of politics and research and the practical field of occupational safety will be presenting at the congress on current social developments, planned reforms at national and European level and new scientific findings. More than 6,000 congress visitors are expected.

“One of the biggest industrial challenges is the effective, accurate sensing of unseen threats in real-time. Our next-generation instruments for the measurement of toxic and flammable volatile organic compounds (VOCs) put a new level of information in the hand of industrial safety officers,” said Thomas Negre, director of instrumentation products for RAE Systems. “Our products play a critical role in making sure that government regulations are followed in the work environment.”

RAE Systems will feature single- and multi-gas portable and wireless products for a wide range of industrial applications.

Two New PID Products:
• MiniRAE 3000 and the ppbRAE 3000 for VOC monitoring and leak detection

Wireless System Products for Industrial Applications:
• AreaRAE Steel, the 5-sensor, wireless detection system with three new sensor options: Hydrogen Chloride (HCl), Hydrogen Fluoride (HF) and high-range Carbon Monoxide (CO).
• PlumeRAE, the toxic plume measurement system.
• LifeShirt, a durable, lightweight chest strap with sensors that can be integrated with the AreaRAE to monitor the vital signs of high risk industrial workers and first responders.

Confined space entry gas detection products:
• QRAE II, the new, compact, one- to four-sensor gas detector for combustibles, hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide and the new, patented RoHS compliant oxygen sensor.
• ToxiRAE II, the single-gas detectors for carbon monoxide, ammonia, chlorine and other toxic gases.
• MultiRAE Plus, the original handheld, multi-gas monitor with photoionization detection (PID).
