WHITFIELD, Tenn. — Seconds count when it comes to car fires, especially if you end up trapped in one. No one wants to be in that danger while emergency crews scramble.

A new car fire simulator in Whitfield County aims to cut down on those crucial seconds. It allows firefighters to train in a more "real-life" scenario.

Every firefighter in Whitfield County trains on the steel car prop. What makes it so realistic is the fuel source running through the car.
