FAIRFAX, Va. — With the conclusion of the third annual International Fire and EMS Safety Stand Down last Saturday, the IAFC wants to know — what did your department do to be “Ready to Respond?”
Departments across the United States and Canada and beyond took part, and we are now looking for feedback on your activities—what worked and what didn’t? The IAFC has prepared an online survey for your convenience in providing input. The survey takes only a few minutes of your time, but the feedback is valuable. It will help us plan future events that best serve you and your department on the critical issue of fire fighter and EMT safety.
In addition to using the survey to assess the impact of the Stand Down, the IAFC would like to hear your stories and see pictures of your activities. Tell us how you spent your day or the week, what activities you did, the response from your department members and community and overall how participating in the Stand Down was beneficial to you and your department. We intend to include a series of stories in the August 1 issue of IAFC On Scene and would like to include your department’s activities. Please send your stories and photos to onscene@iafc.org.
