One of India’s most influential associations, the Fire and Safety Association of India (FSAI), has voiced its support of the inaugural Firex India exhibition, which is launching on the 16-18 October at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, India. Firex India has been developed to run alongside security event IFSEC India 2008 in response to the rapid national economic development of India and the increasing role the fire industry plays in this development.
The FSAI is the trade body and a chamber of commerce for the fire protection, safety and security engineering services industries in India. Set up to facilitate trade in the fire safety and engineering industries, the FSAI has a pan-India presence with local chapters in major metros and is linked to a global network of fire safety and security associations, with access to world class research and forums. The FSAI is committed to implementing and upholding best-practice international standards and is instrumental in shaping and implementing India’s fire safety and security policy.
Simon Parker, Group Director at CMP Information comments “We are very proud to have the support of the FSAI. Having this kind of support from national associations who know the intricacies of the local population and the accompanying markets is a real achievement for us. This support, coupled with our passion and experience will create the perfect opportunity for visitors to the exhibition to see a wide range of products from all over the globe. There is no better setting in which to network with colleagues from the industry and learn about the latest innovations.”
Designed to bring together distributors, manufacturers, suppliers, end-users and installers of fire protection and prevention equipment under the same roof, Firex India will also feature high-level educational seminars and conferences with content focused at all sections of the fire industry.
Mr M. Gandhi, Managing Director at CMP Asia comments, “Firex India 2008 will be the ultimate place to learn about the latest innovations and trends in the fire and security industry. The exhibition and conferences will address all aspects of fire and will target professionals at all levels, from those involved in setting legislation and determining policy to the end-users of products and services.”
