SCOTTSDALE,Ariz — The Scottsdale Fire Department is proud to announce our second annual campaign with the U.S. Marines Toys for Tots program. All 13 Scottsdale Fire stations and our administrative headquarters (8401 E. Indian School Road in Scottsdale) have boxes waiting to be filled with new, unwrapped toys.
This year -- thanks to the generosity of the Marines coordinating the program -- toys collected from Dec. 15 through Dec. 22 will be given to the Paiute Neighborhood Center, a south Scottsdale community center that assists underprivileged children and teens. More than 60 percent of the families served by the Paiute Center have an income under $15,000, and many of the children would not receive a gift for the holidays without support from the public.
