Toronto Fire Services Implements BIO-key System to Improve Reporting and Enhance Operational Efficiencies
WALL, N.J. – BIO-key International Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: BKYI), a leader in finger-based biometric identification and wireless public safety solutions, today announced the complete implementation of its fire records management solution, FireRMS™, for the Toronto Fire Services (TFS). BIO-key’s FireRMS is now deployed in more than 90 work locations and fire stations across the city supporting Toronto Fire, which serves a population of over 2.5 million citizens.
Toronto Fire’s new records system is the single largest implementation of BIO-key’s FireRMS Enterprise solution in North America. New York City Fire Department (FDNY) is BIO-key’s largest Fire customer with over 240 stations, but uses a custom Web solution for fire records. The multi-year Toronto project was completed in partnership with Intergraph Corporation’s Public Safety Division, which served as the prime contractor.
