On May 29 - 31, 2009, the first ever Commonwealth Search and Rescue Games will be head at the Wendell H. Ford Regional Training Center in Greenville, KY.
This will be a chance for search and rescue teams across Kentucky to “show their stuff.” Not only will there be friendly competitions but also the opportunity for education and social interaction. The games will be open to any Kentucky rescue squad to participate and receive awards.
The events will include: hasty search, orienteering and patient packaging and transport.
Invited guest speakers will include Dale Appel from Boone County Water Rescue and Gene Ralston from Idaho Mountain Search & Rescue. In addition, state vendors will have the opportunity to sponsor the state SAR games by being either a bronze, silver or gold sponsor.
