HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — Four Virginia firefighters were injured in a rollover engine crash on Sunday.

The Henrico County fire engine was responding to a call about an unconscious person when it began to spin on the road, then went off the road and overturned, according to a statement by the Henrico County Division of Fire. Officials said the roads were covered with snow and “very slippery” at the time of the crash, and that no other vehicles were involved in the incident.

All four firefighters on board the engine were able to exit on their own and were transported to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Officials said there was no delay in service as a result of the crash and that the medical call was handled by other units responding at the same time. The crash is being investigated by the Henrico Police Department. Fire officials warned community members to stay off the roads due to the inclement weather.
