WEST ORANGE, N.J. — Several emergency vehicles and first responders were involved in a highway vehicle crash scene in New Jersey.

According to 4 New York, about a half-dozen vehicles including an ambulance, a state police SUV and a fire truck were involved in a multiple-vehicle crash on the highway. Two state troopers were outside their cars investigating an earlier crash when a dump truck hit both troopers.

Emergency responders transported the troopers to the hospital, and officials report that there have been no serious injuries.

A chain reaction of one vehicle crashing into another may have been the cause of the multiple car pile-up. Video of the scene shows multiple vehicles on top of each other. The dump truck appears to be on top of a silver SUV. The SUV crashed into an ambulance, which then smashed into the back of a fire truck.

The multiple-vehicle crash is under investigation, and the highway is shut down in both directions.
