BETHLEHEM, Pa. — After rescuing a young girl entrapped in a bicycle, the Bethlehem Township Volunteer Fire Company last week surprised her with a new replacement.
Firefighters, police and emergency workers sometime between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. April 16 rushed to the 4800 block of Concord Drive in Bethlehem Township for a report of a girl stuck in a bike.
Ava Digirolamo, 8, had her leg stuck between the pedal bar and frame of the bike after falling while riding off a curb, an emergency medical technician said. She had been riding around the neighborhood with her sister and friends.
