3 firefighters injured fighting towing company fire in NJ

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the incident

WALL, N.J. — Three firefighters were injured at the scene of a structure fire at a towing company in the city of Wall, New Jersey.

None of the injuries to the Glendola Fire Department firefighters was life-threatening. One firefighter was treated on scene by EMS and released. The two others were transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune for their injuries.

A 14-year-old from Georgia was charged with third-degree arson in connection to the fire, reports the Asbury Park Press.

The fire took three hours to bring under control. Water was brought in by the Monmouth County Tanker Task Force, as no fire hydrants were located near the scene.

Traffic was diverted for about five hours while crews worked to put out the fire.
