DALLAS — Authorities say a fire at an apartment complex under construction in Dallas left seven firefighters injured.
Jason Evans, a spokesman for Dallas Fire-Rescue, told KRLD-AM that several of the firefighters were struck by debris and all suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The fire was reported shortly before 6 p.m. Monday. Evans says wind blowing through the complex fanned the flames overnight. He says part of a floor collapsed.
Fire crews remain at the scene of the burning, unoccupied units.
Investigators believe it could be an electrical fire.
Several calls by The Associated Press to Dallas-Fire Rescue weren’t returned.
