DURHAM, NC — Four Bahama firefighters were taken to the hospital after their fire truck rolled over late Monday night, the state Highway Patrol said.
While all four were transported to Duke Hospital to be evaluated, the most serious injury was some broken bones in the driver’s hand, said Trooper Michael Stuart. “Luckily all four of them are OK,” he said.
All were wearing seat belts.
The fire truck rolled over once and came to rest on its side, the trooper said.
The firefighters had been training at a city of Durham facility and were on their way back to Bahama when the wreck occurred on Glenn Road near Jeffries Road just before 10 p.m., Stuart said.
