A Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) firefighter and a civilian were injured at an apartment complex fire in the Westlake District Tuesday evening.
After fire broke out in a two-story fourplex, a man jumped from the second story and sustained a minor injury. He was transported to a hospital for evaluation.
After crews extinguished the fire, a firefighter fell and suffered a moderate injury, according to KTLA. The firefighter was bruised but conscious and alert.
NBC Los Angeles video shows the firefighter being loaded into an ambulance for transport to a local hospital.
The fire’s cause remains under investigation.
