The ladder truck used Jan. 25 when two firefighters fell eight stories to their deaths remains at a Kilgore fire station, Operations Chief Dennis Gage said Monday.
He said the Texas Municipal League, the city of Kilgore’s insurer, was to inspect the truck Monday afternoon.
“We haven’t determined anything. The truck hasn’t even been looked at,” Gage said, while shopping for meals for firefighters and families who attended Monday’s funeral service for Margaret Jean Wright. Wright was the wife of retired Kilgore firefighter Eric Wright.”
