FISHKILL, N.Y. — A man killed in a fatal motorcycle crash late Sunday has been identified as 25-year-old Joseph Zielinski, a Chelsea volunteer fireman, according to Town of Fishkill police.
Zielinski died when his motorcycle struck a utility pole around 8:20 p.m. on Old Glenham Road, near Greenhill Drive. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, police said. Zielinski was a volunteer firefighter at the Wappinger-based Chelsea Fire Company. His brother, Adam Zielinski, said via email that Joseph always “was there to help his friends and family.”
