PHOENIX — A firefighter was hospitalized after suffering multiple bee stings while responding to a call Monday night.
Firefighters were called to a business where the owner was repeatedly stung by bees while closing the store, reported AZ Central. Crews began applying foam to the bees.
An engineer operating the pump panel was stung, despite being 100 feet away from the hive. He began to have a severe allergic reaction to the stings.
Phoenix Fire Capt. Reda Bigler said the firefighter is in stable condition and is expected to be OK.
