There are different ways of preparing the hydrant kit so that it is ready to go with the hose when it is pulled off. No matter which way is chosen, it needs to be easily accessible and easily carried by one person.
Weighing down the kit with unnecessary equipment will only add to the frustration level. Conduct an audit on the equipment inside the kit to ensure that what is inside is used on a regular basis and not just a there for show.
