‘Taylor Swift’ alias donates $15K to firefighter’s family

Taylor Swift, or someone claiming to be her, offered a charitable donation to a firefighter who responded to a crash involving his wife and son

RIVERSIDE, Texas — Aaron VanRiper’s life was already crazy enough of late, and then Taylor Swift got involved — or at least someone claiming to be the pop star.

On Saturday, VanRiper, a volunteer firefighter in Riverside, Texas, was on duty when he got an emergency call: a car had crashed head-on with a pickup truck.

When VanRiper arrived to the scene, he quickly realized that he recognized the crumpled up sedan: it belonged to his wife, Amber. Amber had been thrown from the car during the collision. Their son, Jonathan, was still pinned inside. Each had multiple cuts and broken bones.
