SYCAMORE TOWNSHIP, Ohio — An Ohio firefighter died in his sleep Tuesday within 24 hours of responding to an emergency incident.

Lt. James Michael Hill, 52, a 25-year veteran with the Sycamore Township Fire and EMS Department, had responded to a call within 24 hours of his death, according to the USFA.

The cause of death is still to be officially reported, but initial findings indicate a sudden cardiac arrest, according to the report.
