TEMPLE, Texas — A Temple firefighter was recovering from minor injuries Tuesday night after at least one person threw a rock at a fire engine.
The Temple fire engine was returning to the station after a fire call at about 9:15 p.m. Tuesday.
Police say just off East Adams Avenue, someone threw a rock at the fire truck, breaking the side window and shattering the glass.
The firefighter inside suffered minor injuries.
He was treated at the scene.
Temple police officers remained on the scene looking for at least one suspect involved in the alleged assault Tuesday night.
