INDIANAPOLIS — A firefighter was seriously injured after falling through a burning roof and landing on his head.
Indy Star reported that the firefighter fell through a collapsed porch roof, according to Indianapolis Fire Department Battalion Chief Rita Reith.
The firefighter fell on his head and became unconscious. He was transported to the hospital where he became alert. He was treated for minor injuries.
Reith did not release the name of the firefighter, but said he was a 22-year veteran.
The incident is currently under investigation. We will update you when more information becomes available.
