Ohio firefighter’s leg amputated after car crash

David Noble is in critical but stable condition after he was pinned by a car at the scene of a crash

CLARK COUNTY, Ohio — A firefighter had his leg amputated after a car crashed into the scene of another crash, according to officials.

WCPO reported that David Noble, 72, was on the scene of a crash helping the driver out of an SUV when a car hit him, pinning him against the SUV.

Noble was transported to the hospital and was listed in critical, but stable condition.

The driver of the SUV, Jo Ellen Stringer, was treated at the hospital and later released. The driver of the car was not injured.

The crash is currently under investigation.
