GASPORT, N.Y. — A fire police officer was killed while working the scene of a fire.
Firefighter Judy Spencer was killed when a Barker Fire Department rescue truck struck her while backing up, the U.S. Fire Administration reported.
Spencer had served in the fire service for 20 years.

NIAGARA COUNTY, N.Y. — A member of Hartland Volunteer Fire Company was killed while working the scene of a fire, FireFighterCloseCalls.com reported.
A fire police officer was killed after a Barker Fire Department rescue truck she was spotting backed into her, WGRZ reported. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
