EMMITSBURG, Md. — The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF) has once again earned top ratings from two leading nonprofit evaluators, highlighting the organization’s commitment to transparency, accountability and meaningful impact.

The NFFF received the Platinum Seal of Transparency from Candid (formerly GuideStar), which recognizes nonprofit organizations that provide the highest level of transparency about their goals, strategies, capabilities and progress, the NFF stated in a press release.

In addition, Charity Navigator awarded NFFF its highest rating of 4 stars for the 13th year in a row.

“We are honored to receive the Platinum Seal of Transparency from GuideStar/Candid and a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator,” CEO Victor Stagnaro said. “This recognition affirms our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of accountability while ensuring that our donors, partners, and the broader firefighting community have full confidence in how we operate and serve our mission.”

The foundation supports the families of fallen firefighters through a range of services, including scholarships, grief support programs and the annual National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend. It also offers training and resources to help prevent firefighter line-of-duty deaths and injuries.
