NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Nashville Fire Department highlighted firefighters shopping for and preparing meals together during their 24-hour shifts.
The crews pay for the groceries themselves by pooling their own money rather than using a department food budget. The shared meals help build camaraderie and teamwork while firefighters remain ready to respond to emergencies.
