COLONIAL BEACH, Va. — A firefighter proposed to his girlfriend during a festival parade.
FOXDC5 reported that Lt. Russell Pauley, with Oak Grove Volunteer Fire Department, was in the Potomac River Festival Parade riding in a fire truck. He halted the truck and jumped out in front of his girlfriend.
He dropped down to one knee and asked her to marry him; the couple first met at the festival.
Festival-goers cheered as they kissed.
